Museum as Muck was part of a consultative team brought together to create a module for the School of Museum Studies at the University of Leicester. The eight-week module called Museums and Contemporary Issues is part of the Museum Studies MA, MSc, PGDip, PGCert, by distance learning programme
The module brought together leading activist museum practitioners from the UK to discuss and examine how museums and galleries can engage with unfolding contemporary social issues. Museum as Muck contributed to content on museum networks, allyship, values, resilience and class issues in museums.
Students taking part in the module consider how the museum can be a site for activism, social justice, human rights and social change, exploring cutting-edge examples of practice and research.
