During the last decade Zey has accrued a wide portfolio of experience working in museums, in programming, exhibitions, curatorial, collections, documentation & archaeology. She has also worked on archaeological sites in the UK and Bulgaria. Entering the sector later in her career and witnessing how inaccessible and unwelcoming the sector can be for working class people, she focuses on tackling race and class barriers. She revisits existing museum collections to highlight ignored histories and actively challenges the middle class lens that dominates contemporary collecting. Zey is also co-chair of the Beacon Collective: Staff Network for Racial Equity at the Museum of London.
